The
process for applying for iCORE funding
is unique to each grant program. More
information can be found on grant program
descriptions.
Researchers from outside Alberta
are encouraged to establish and work
with contacts at an Alberta university
to develop a Chair and associated research
team proposal (CPE grants).
Alberta
researchers are encouraged to
apply for ICE grants and are also encouraged
to apply for recruiting funding (ISPR
grants) to work with international researchers
to develop a Chair and associated research
team proposal (CPE grants).
Industry
sponsors may either contact
the iCORE secretariat to develop a Chair
proposal and subsequently target researchers,
or work with researchers directly (ICE
grants).
Graduate
students are encouraged to contact
professors directly at Alberta universities
with whom they would like to work. Once
a graduate position is confirmed in
computing science or electrical and
computer engineering, iCORE funding
will be awarded to eligible students
who apply for iCORE scholarships. However,
the application document must be submitted
prior to commencement of studies to
initiate the award (GSF program).
